I live in northern jersey and i've started digging up my yard to install a block wall around the entire perimeter. I've pulled enough granite stones out of the ground to build 5 ovens, they vary in size from a couple pounds to the two that came out that were over 4000 lbs. so the question is; is there any reason why i couldn't build an oven out of these, given that i conform to proper oven design. it'd be cheaper and honestly pretty dang cool to build an oven out what i found in my yard.

The short answer is no. It doesn't like temps north of 300 C and the oven will easily get over that.
