Dome-entry intersection

G'day All,
I'm all searched out, but gained more great info on the way. I recall some months ago a post or plans of the dome-entry link. Not sure if it covered it, where should the dome be intersected for the entry? How important is it? If the entry is too far forward the dome could almost be closed off before the entry and too far back would created other issues. What's the best Balance?

Dome and arch are set at the floor level. Attached is a pic showing how the arch form and ID of the dome intersect.

This question comes up often - and even though we all have slightly different ways of answering it, the answer is pretty much the same. I always find it helpful to have things explained two different ways as I can combine the explanation and sometimes the light bulb comes on.
