Ciment Fondu

Has anyone used Ciment Fondu to make refractory mortar? If so, other than sand and water, what else do you put in the mix? Also, what is the best ratio?

Around 4:1 for mortar. If you want it a bit more sticky add some powdered clay, but not too much as it leads to excessive shrinkage. The stuff will go off really fast so only make small batches and wash your tools and barrow scrupulously in between as any mortar that's gone off will accelerate the new batch.
