I was wondering if I did all of the work on my own... how much (ballpark range) of an investment am I looking at?

Re: before i start?
You'll find a huge range of answers, unfortunately. There are so many variables than affect the cost. Here's a link to an earlier thread on the same topic that might be helpful:

Re: before i start?
I think to a large degree it depends how much time you've got (or rather how patient you are...)
If you can hang around waiting and keeping your eyes open for some second hand fire bricks to be offered somewhere and so on for each step of the build, you should be able to keep the costs quite low. But hanging around and waiting can be very hard once you've started!"Building a Brick oven is the most fun anyone can have by themselves." (Terry Pratchett... slightly amended)
