Just wondering what people have done in submitting plans for the building permit? I have seen detailed 3-D computer plans, but was wondering what most have done in submitting plans.
The building safety part of the UL Listing process for the FB ovens included such items as setbacks from combustibles, distances from the opening for combustibles, and venting. You might want to download the Casa installation guide for ideas for how to present your oven to your local building department.

You may find that your building department will consider your oven a backyard barbeque. Depending on where you are located, you may not need a permit for a freestanding masonry oven.
Thanks for the replies! I spoke with the local department and they want plans. Besides the building department, the higher authority wants a permit...the wife!
I was wondering if I could take the Forno plans and highlight the parts that apply to my specific oven?
