Re: price of a fire brick in the uk?
As I said, I think people are finding Midland Refractories to be cheapest. Have you seen this thread?

Re: price of a fire brick in the uk?
Thanks David, I had seen that post but I'm only going to be in the south of the UK for a few days. I can collect them from a place not too far from me for €1.71 which is roughly ?1.55 at present... if I can find somewhere in southern UK where I can collect for less than that I'll go for it. I've seen a place online which I think is somewhere in Kent (the web site doesn't seem to be fully functioning) selling refrax, firebrick, and FB casa ovens by the look of it too. I'm going to see what they can do....

Yeah, Midland will do them for ?1.05, with delivery usually ~?50. See my spreadsheet for the details (link below).

Re: price of a fire brick in the uk?
I just bought 140 bricks from Vitcas, ?1.50 per brick plus vat is what I was charged!
They tried asking for ?1.60, but to be fair, the main guy seemed like a good guy and was more than happy to give me as much advice as he could and we chewed the fat on pizza oven construction for at least half an hour! S'pose it was worth the extra ?16, plus I did not need delivery.
