  • angle iron question

My neighbor has 2" angle iron, but it is 1/4" thick. This is a freebee. The plans call for 3/8". Will using the 1/4" compromise my oven? Would using more rebar in the front of the slab make up the difference?

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Re: angle iron question

You'll be fine with quarter inch angle iron. Builders have been using recycled bed frame angles, which are thinner than that.
