  • inner arch to dome?

Hi All, Thanks again for all the info. I have a question regarding the joint between the dome and the arch. I had a thought of maybe cutting the connecting bricks very tight and not mortaring them to the inner arch, I would fill any gap with insulation. My thinking is a slip or exspansion type joint might relieve some cracking on the archwork. Do you think there would be some reason not to pursue this? Any and all thoughts are appreciated!
    Thanks
    John

Wow, I've checked out your website and I can't believe you've had the time to do both, your attention to detail, except maybe for the concrete, is second to none! Well done.
I can only hope mine is as good when I'm finished.
