On the newly built oven floor of my Casa 2G I noticed there are a couple of very small gaps between some of the floor pieces. These gaps are probably between an 8th and a 16th of an inch wide. Does this present a problem?

No - they will fill up with ash and burnt pizza. As long as the peel will slide over them, you are good to go.Check out my pictures here:

Confirmed- no problems. I'm guessing you might be an engineer.
