  • Professionale 110 Door

    Hi,

I'm just about finished with my trailer and oven but I can't figure out how you are supposed to keep the door on the oven during storage. It seems to fit in just find but there is no way to keep it from falling out of the oven opening.

    Thanks,

    SEan

Couldn't you use a couple of L brackets and screw them in using anchors?

I guess so but, it seems that they would have a better way.

Durk, I don't think they saw these ovens bouncing down the road.

I bought the trailer edition so you think they would have thought of that. I'll have to do some modifications.

You may post some pics for the door and the oven to get a better chance for help.
Just one DIY thought: making the door "want" to lean to the inside rather than the outside is possible by making some modifications on the profile of the door; either by adding some mass to the inside face of the door or by slightly chamfering the bottom of the door from the inside.
Why is this thus? What is the reason for this thusness?
            I forgot who said that.

              G'day
A foam vegetable box over the door to protect it and a bungy cord around the oven. Should do the job till a more elegant solution comes about

                Re: Professionale 110 Door

                Durk,

I was sent a door for the 120TE. It has 2 curled handles with the bottom almost touching the landing stones. I've had no problem riding down the road with the door on. I've also had zero problem with live coals & no door on driving down the road. If I'm not baking bread or more pizzas after the farmer's market or an event, I drive away without the door on and spread my coals out over the back half of the cooking surface.

I'm sure the police would take a dim view of a 50mph oven with a live fire, let alone one with no door.
