  • Dome insulation density

I am looking to use the insulation blanket method for insulating the dome and after many site searches i've found a few options.

The FB blanket density available from FORNO BRAVO is 8 pound/cubic foot (128 kilogram/cubic meter). i have the option of buying a cheaper density, i.e. 6 pound/cubic foot (96 kilogram/cubic meter).
    would this be acceptable?
would i suffer any loss in efficiency from this?

The 6 pound/cubic foot can withstand temperature upto 1260șC./2300 F and some sites state that
6 pound/cubic foot is suitable for pizza ovens

You really need to look at the thermal conductivity values more than the density.

6 pound blanket is just fine, you can compensate with extra thickness if you want.
The cost of living continues to skyrocket, and yet it remains a popular choice.
