Curious if anyone has made a gabion base for their oven. We are considering this option. We have been told they have great strength and will hold the concrete base, for the insulating board, and the hearth. Just trying to figure out how we will pour the concrete oven base over the rocks. Any thoughts? I am attaching an outdoor fireplace using a gabion baskets that I have found on pinterest. I have not yet seen any true pizza ovens. Thanks in advance if anyone responds!
