repair terracotta oven

During my move back to the states, my terracotta honeycomb style oven sustained damage to the wall. This oven was purchased in Portugal and the walls are approximately 3/4 inch thick. The hole is irregular with the dimensions on 3" x 5" but the surrounding structure is intact.

What is the best method and material to repair this hole? There are local kilns that may be available to fire if indicated.
