Hi I am looking to build a domed oven
I was thinking of building a sand dome and using a cement perlite mix when I have researched this online but have only seen this technique used with cob ovens
would this work with concrete?

There seems to be a rash of builders wanting to do a p or vcrete dome(p or vcrete are insulating mediums only. It must be a YouTube thing. This is not a recommended process. A dense refractory or homebrew refractory mix is the recommended. There are several good builds in the "other type of ovens" section of the forum. You can do your research there. There are a couple recent post with links to good cast ovens
