I do have the insulation on, 3-4 inches of blanket on the top 1/3 of the dome and then a layer of 4 inches of perlite 3/4 of the way up the dome where I only used 2 inches of blanket. Seemed to be the best trade off.
I didn't let the pizza cook for very long a little hungry....
I have noticed by starting fires that it does take about an hour to come up to temp. I really need to get some hardwood as I have been burning redwood scraps from a fence and deck to cure and test the oven.
Thanks for compliment, I am almost done and for the most part it has been me and my father working all summer. This site and threads like yours have provide a lot of great advice and ideas for tons of issues.
