Hi acbova. Yeah, York's not far at all. I'm actually in Reamstown, near Denver.(Pa.)
I got my block and brick from Terre Hill concrete, Heatstop 50 from both New Holland concrete and Galantino Supply which is also a Forno Bravo dealer. I also got my insulation blanket, fire clay and some vermiculite from Galantino as well. I used Eagle concrete to pour the foundation and hearth slab. They have metered trucks and they're only about a half mile from me.

Looks good, where did you get your material? You live near me (more or less)

Ev,
Looks really good!
My dad is originally from Trappe, PA (near Pottstown). Beautiful country up that way.
Love the pic of your EZ-Up. I had a storm turn mine into spaghetti a few weeks ago. Tried to make it stand up, but couldn't. Its at the dump now...Keep the pics coming!

Ev's 42" Pompeii in Lancaster Co., Pa.
Hi folks. I started my build back in May using the Pompeii oven plans from this site. It's just a free-standing oven build. Nothing fancy. Not part of a bigger outdoor kitchen. At least not yet. I can always expand later.
I've never laid a brick before this project but I have lots of experience in construction doing drywall and metal framing. I've had a great time so far. I know it's not perfect and I probably drank too many beers along the way, but I believe it'll be just fine when it's done.
The oven is not yet complete but I have lots of photos from along the way. I'll post a few every few days or so until I get caught up.
