  • Paper on the chicken wire for stucco igloo finish?

I was wondering??? a friend was cautioning me not to just wrap chicken wire ontop of the fire blanket. He reccomended a wire/rebar cage and then paper then chicken wire. His point was to not weigh the insulation down with the weight of the stucco going through the chicken wire.

    Any thoughts/reccomendations on this subject?

Here is a pic of progress so for, will post some better pictures soon.

I put on some vermiculite/portland on top of the blanket/wire for added insulation. Then applied the stucco. To be honest, I don't think it will compress the blanket enough that you will sacrifice insulation.

Skip the chicken wire. Just put the vermicrete and/or stucco directly on the blanket.
