Its 1/4 scale modeled on a 1200mm oven, I used all of 5 full fire bricks.
          Size is 300mm diameter.

I even made an indispensable tool.

Its all refractory, Im going to put some ceramic blanket on it and render it.
I even kept with the golden rule of 63%

The base board is 40mm calcium silicate, there is a fire brick hearth in there too, all 5mm of it.

For the glue I used refractory glue, same glue I used in oven number 2 (the real build)

Some more pics of the mini build.

That is so cool. Can you get a roaring fire in an oven so small though? The smaller you go you have to make the flue bigger, ie it doesn't work if you just scale down the dimensions. You need to make the flue bigger relative to the volume as you scale down the dimensions. I discovered this when making a small kiln for firing ceramic jewelery.

I doubt it, I should imagine the smaller you go the thicker the air will become relative to size of oven. If I could just scale down the air molicules it may burn?

I was hard pushed to keep the fire lighter going, maybe its just a damp oven?

Actually the flue worked just fine I was surprised.

Would it be too difficult to increase both the mouth and the flue area? Angle grinders are great tools. The other thing is that it is really easy to overload the chamber with fuel in a small oven. If too much oven volume is filled with wood then there is not enough volume for combustion.

                          Brickie,

Finish the render in blue, then place Smurf characters around it for scale effect. A scale pizza peel and pizza would be nice too.

                          Cheers,
                          Bob
