Make sure you have plenty of insulation underneath the floor and the oven dome, if any part touches the concrete slab you will lose heat.

Lay the hearth bricks diagonally so there is less chance of the pizza peel hitting the edge of a brick.

Floor is laid diagonally, is there a secret to cutting & fitting the floor perfectly??

I laid the floor then put the dome on top, its so much easier than cutting it inside the dome.
