Got a deal on some used firebrick but its from a thirty year old boiler would this be considered heavy duty brick and not be good for a pizza oven?

    Re: firebrick

I actually bought new heavy duty firebricks, so I don't think neccessarily they are a bad thing to use.

I would want to be really certain the bricks aren't somehow contaminated (heavy metals, aspestos, etc.), though ...

      Re: firebrick

Id be checking out what was the boiler was boiling and what type of fuel was used.

HD firebricks are fine to use if all is ok with no contaminants.
