No worries, I have a crack just like it! Your oven created it's own expansion joint exactly where it needed one. The oven will continue to use this same crack each time it's fired to expand and contract. Do NOT fix it. Chances are it's the last one you'll get.

Your work looks great! Time for pizza.

I would only worry about it if bricks start to fall out onto your pizza

    dsm,

That one looks about like mine, though mine cuts through a few bricks (doesn't stay in the joints). I have found that it expands a bit when hot, then closes up to just larger that yours when cool. I wouldn't worry about it. If it will make you sleep better, try and seal it, and when you figure out how to get grout or hi-temp caulk into that tiny crack, please let me know

As I said Dave, cracks happen. There really isn't much you can do about it and I don't think it will be a problem. I have seen one oven that had a 5/8 inch crack - that is huge! He was still able to enjoy his oven and it didn't come crashing down.

I've got a crack in my dome that is a bit larger than that. I will put some hi-temp caulk on it someday. It doesn't affect performance.
