Help on entry/vent arch

Howdy folks,

Getting close to starting the arch for my wfo, but want to make sure I understand the arch for entry and vent area for flue.

I am building a 42", attached pics below.

I choose to start landing walls, 4 courses high, then will start arch on top of this. I widened the landing, so it angles out to about 25" wide at the very front landing. The opening is 20", and I have 1" lip as recommended, making far side of landing 22" wide. My landing is 15" deep.

What is the best way to tackle the arches? Build the dome arch 1st, then make the entry arch, or do both at same time? I plan on making a form for the arches, should this be all one form, or should I make one for each?

How do you attach the dome arch to the landing arch and create the vent opening for the flue? it looks like some just mortar bricks together lengthwise, connecting arches together, and make a cut out for the vent area.

I plan on using a clay flue liner, but also tossing around using durvent, would I have to make a buttress if I go with clay liner do to the weight of clay flue?

I think most people find it easier to build the dome arch, then the dome, and then finish with the entry arch. I sure did. Gives you more room to maneuver as the dome goes up.

You have enough buttress to do it however you want. Building the inner arch first seems to be the more logical and practical method, as that then sets the dimensions for the transitional brick.
