can i make use of my firebrick bits and pieces?

I'm nearly done building my dome and have been saving every scrapel of firebrick including a lot of dust from cutting. Is there any use to this for the remainder of my build? It seems like such a waste throwing it away. I have no need for refractory mortar. I have enough for the landing and vent. Could i mix it in with vermicullite cement to make it more insulating? Anything else?

It will make it less insulating as it will fill all the air voids in the mix.

Thanks. Perhaps mix it with portland cement, sand and lime and add it to the outside of the dome as thermal mass?

Best idea is to use it as fireclay for homebrew - but you can crush it and mix 3:1:1:1 and put on outside of dome. Many builders do this.

Is that 3 (firebrick) 1 cement 1 sand 1 lime?

3 sand or fire brick gravel/pieces
1 firebrick dust or fireclay
1 hydrated lime
1 Portland cement - Not concrete or sackcrete or sand mix

Sand/gravel/vermiculite is ALWAYS the highest of the ratios..
