Curing question please

Hi All,

Please tell me is it okay to start to build small curing fires before
you cover your brick work with a fiber blanket?

Yes. In fact many builders on this forum will recommend this. One of the purposes of curing fires is to eliminate the moisture in the brick and mortar - and exposing as much of it to the air with no barrier is the best way. Just take it slow!

RR......some on here say yes and some say no. You probably can go either way. From what I have learned, I believe the real trick is to be gentle. Ease out the moisture and you should be fine.
