Hope every one is good I just opened the oven up for the season and noticed some cracks in the top coat of vermiculite I fired it up and was getting some heat loss before I put my finising coats of stucco what can I use to fill crack or should I channel out cracks and fill with vermiculite .
    Thanks for any help

    Captain,

Personally, I'd cut them out and back in a V-shape and refill with your vermic mix. Try to get to the depth of the crack and go wider than you think you have to. Mix a bit on the wet side and really press it in with a trowel. Let dry thoroughly. Should work.

    Cheers,

        Captain,

Whoops. One more thing. Use an old paint brush dipped in water and wet up the Vs a bit before you apply the fresh mix. You'll get better stick that way.
