There is a link to Marcel's photobucket site, and on it the angle iron seems to be simply sitting freely on the vent sides.

    Cheers, Paul.
    (M) True, I used an angle iron which I filled with refractory mortar upon the advice of Louis Arrevalo, to reduce smoke turbulance.

      Marcel,

You've been hiding. Very naughty. Glad to see you back.

        (M) Thanks Jim. I doubt if I'll be nearly as active this year. It's time to do some serious baking!

I love it when earlier threads get responded to, so many issues in the archives that I've missed. Didn't realize Frances started her cooking in Nov of last year, her cooking results would make me believe it was a long time before that. What an insperation.

RC, this is a family indeed. Think about it, tons of Grandparents, uncles, aunts, and siblings. We are all those. It is up to each member to confess where they stand. Even though I am not done with mine, I feel like the Uncle to the forum, so, welcome nephews and nieces...

Won't be long before you will be relating stories "Back when I built my oven, it was the middle of winter, seldom seen 40F, winds gusting to 60 mph, had to chop ice out of the wet saw tray; ah those were the days. "
Work on it, I'm sure it will get better.

I have gone back to my earlier threads looking for something and I've noticed all the great insight received from people that I now consider part of my WFO family. Back then I was overwhelmed!

              Can't thank them enough.

I guess James with his membership level has adopted names for members that are like grandpa, uncles and nieces. Isn't that great

Oh man, I am tearing with laughter. So true. But based on the level, I am a grandfather, and I don't want to feel the age yet.

Frances, my oldest is turning 6, not the subject for her yet. Give it 20 years....

Hehe, mine are only 9, 4 and 4...

But when my little boy says he doesn't want to be a knight after all and asks me what he should be when he grows up, I do tell him he should find a nice girl to marry and become a Daddy and in in time a grandpa, too.

But you're right, I'd prefer it if they wait for 20 odd years before starting a family...

With mine at 16 & 18, I keep hammering it home that I do NOT want to end up a grandma any time soon!!

Had my first grandson a year ago from my oldest son (27) and his wife. The problem is, in my mind, he was three and riding on my shoulders just a couple years ago. It all goes soooo fast.

Gonna be a dad again. Mid-September. Building will come to a complete halt.
