Ceramic blanket insulation

I have my dome finished and I am getting ready to finish up the vent.

When I go to put the ceramic blanket insulation around the dome what is the recommended attachment method or process for doing this?

Will I have to cut v's out of the blanket to get it to wrap around the dome?
