  • HELP - What type of Castable for Vent?

My brick dealer is placing an order and can add some castable material from the manufacturer on the order. My question is what castable should I buy for my vent...

Needs to hold 8-9 feet of duravent
Will have to cure in place

I was thinking of the following:
    KS-4 Plus
    PacoCast
Heat Cast - 40 (same company that makes Heat Stop)

    Fast replies would be appreciated...

    Thanks

Re: HELP - What type of Castable for Vent?

I used KS-4, cast in place, and cured in place. KS-4 is very solid and easy to work with. No problems. I would not only use it again, but would proabably cast my entry and event in one piece if I were to do another one.

    Don't forget the stainless needles.

I posted a couple of picts a while ago. Search vent casting and you should find them.
