When do I need to start tapering the bricks

I am on the 5th or 6th level of bricks and I notice there is starting to be a triangle gap between each brick (see picture). How do you determine how wide each brick should be and when do you decide to start tapering the bricks? This is my first ever brick project and could use this little bit of help.

Now would be good, this is what we call an "inverted V" caused by the diameter of the dome decreasing . It is not a taper but a bevel you do not need to do the whole side of the brick, just the interfering portions (towards the inside of the dome). Look at DeeJayOh spread sheet in the Newbie Section. It will give ball park bevel numbers based on course. Most of these issues are addressed in forum so do a search as well.
