  • Insulation under Base

    Hi All,

I built my 36" oven 3 years ago but have neglected it due to my wife having our twins,

Now they are a little ones are older i am now keen to start using it.

when i built it i stupidly didn't insulate under the base of the over so when i touch the underside of the concrete i feel it warm.

Do you think i could just insulate it from underneath as i'm not willing to strip it all and start again?

Can you pull the floor bricks out and add at least an inch of insulation underneath? You're fighting a big heat sink with the concrete slab. Putting insulation underneath it is better than nothing, but probably won't really help your floor temp much.
