Hi All,
Working on rebuilding my first oven due to water issues...
For the original build I believe I put a skim coat of Portland cement (I don't think I used and actual stucco) over the perlite insulation. I then painted it with a latex paint.
For the Rebuild I am grinding off the original paint (you can see the before and after pictures below) and am going to use the "Stuco-Flex" brand elastomeric stucco to finish it.
My question is, can I just use a skim coat of Portland cement to fill in the old cracks (see picture below) and smooth out/put over my new perlite/Portland insulating layer in the front re build section???? OR What should I use?
See pictures for reference. Just looking for the best way to finish given I'm not a professional stucco person.
