I built a pizza oven last year but found after the winter the clay dome had cracked and was flaking off. My Construction was firebrick with refractory cement and I did realise that I didn’t insulate.
So, before I get to far into this again, I want to check in with those who know better than me!!
I have repaired the mortar gaps with refractory cement in the firebrick dome. I have the fire blanket insulation and wire to keep in place.
If I coat the fire blanket with refractory cement, how do I ensure it hardens correctly and how can I make it Canadian weatherproof!
thanks in advance and apologies if thus question has already been asked and I couldn’t find it!
