    Any sand will do, you just don’t want large grains that might interfere with the levelling. You can always sieve out any large grains.

    If it is all you can source, multipurpose sand can work for a wood fired oven. The one thing I would NOT use it for is for a concrete mix. For a concrete mix I'd want a sharp sand. For a thin leveling bed, or for homebrew mortar for your dome, it'll work in a pinch.

    Fireclay Mixture

    Cannot find Mason Sand in my area (Lexington NC). I can find Lots of Sakrete Multi purpose sand. Can I use that mixed with my fireclay for my firebrick floor bedding?
    Also I understand the ratio is 1 to 1 for the bedding
