Does a cladding of two bricks 1inch thick with calcium silicate mortar serve as a 2inch thick brick ?

Welcome Mahesh! Putting two 1" firebricks together with a high-temp mortar does create pretty much the same heat retention unit as a 2" thick firebrick. That said, cladding refers to an outside covering...so not sure what your question really is aimed at. Are you thinking of building a WFO dome with this two-brick sandwich or thinking of using it for the cooking floor...neither of which would be appropriately termed cladding. A little clarification here will help the forum community answer your "real" question.
