  • Gap between inside dome bricks.

What is the gap between inside dome bricks.
Of course the outside would thicker, but do you have the inside touch or seperate 3/8" with mortar.
    Thanks

Generally you have the insides touch, at least at the top corners. Rectangular brick faces will produce larger and larger "upside-down V" shaped joints as you get higher up a dome. Many builders cut bevels on the brick sides to prevent or reduce those triangular joints--your mileage may vary depending on your degree of perfectionism :-). In any case, the "ideal" is having the inside brick edges touch so that you have no visible mortar joint on the inside. Looks nice, especially since then you can't see the inevitable cracks.

Thanks for response. I will consider doing that approach.
The brick I bought had tapered edges. I was going to cut in half, but maybe I could use full bricks at the bottom layers and switch to half bricks on the top.
