Built a door last weekend.
made a tray out of sheet metal.
Made a door out of tung and groove pine wainscot.
filled the tray with vermiculite and connected the two with a 2.5 inch wide alum band.
After cooking pizzas on Sunday still had 450 dome and 400 floor deg F on Monday morning.
First pizzas with 00 Pizza flour. Wow, what a difference. Made handling and sliding a breeze. also first time using my live yeast from www.Sourdo.com

That's a riot. It would be great to have a founding father stop by next time you are in San Diego. Even if you didn't have a awesome WFO, you would still need a firestick......lots of fun and completely lit is 3mins or less. Love you stone work, left a question for you on your thread.

And great build and pizzas as well!
Decades ago my father and two friends started pickleball. It still cracks me up when I see it around and about. Great game.
I need a firestick!

Ordered some Italian live Yeast from sourdo.com.
Made a proof box and grew some new friends.
Also got a 55lb bag of Caputo 00 Pizza flour.
Can't wait to try this crust.5 Photos

I second the motion. Soak the brick and dampen the two other bricks, butter it with mortar and stick it in there.
