Vermiculite ?

Is the large bags you get at home depot the correct grade of vermiculite. They are $25 for 3.5 ft^3. Is that price good? Is perlite an insulator also.

Sounds about what I paid. Yes, it is a bit better insulator than vermiculite.

well i dont know ie was a mistake or not but i got the 4cf perlite for $10.00 a bag. wish i would have realized that cuz i need more for dome, lol.

at my home depot the perlite is half as much as vermiculite
