Well, what you guys think? They say 30F tonight, I covered the slab with plastic film, I hope that should be fine.

Looking good: You should be fine on the temperature. The ground stays warm for a long time, and the concrete generates some heat of its own.

      Greg,

Hello, I just noticed your posts. I am located in Pickerington.

I have my oven about 95% done. All I have left to do is make it look pretty. If you have any questions give me a yell, I will be glad to help out.

Good to see someone nearby with the same interest in brick ovens. Keep us up to date on your progress.

      John

thanks Jag! I will probably have many questions, you will be sorry you asked

For example, where did you get the 2x2 angle iron from?

          Greg,

If I remember correctly it was,

          Columbus Pipe & Equipment Co.
          773 E. Markison St
          444-7871

Unfortunayely the smallest length they sold was 20'. I was way cheaper than anybody else in town so I bought a length and I still have quite a lot left over. I don't know how much you need but if you want to come get some I will give you mine, no charge. Also we can cut it to length at my place if you don't want one of my full lengths.

          John

Jag, I cant send you any PMs. It seems like the PM system is broken - I click SEND and the PM disappears and my sent box remains empty. My email is leckig@gmail.com

I got the angle iron today and I am trimming the blocks now.
