Dare I say Done? Of course we have ideas left but we finally completed everything on the original plan. Specifically speaking of the doors. They are Louisiana Cyprus planks that we bought rough cut and then planed with the help of a friend and fellow Brick oven builder Gianluca. The Greenery is Boston Ivy that in theory won't harm the stucco.

Next....LED lighting under the roof eves.

    Here we go again...

Looks like it's that time of year again...at least I don't have to tarp it this time.

    Thanks Dino,

We were in Rome, Italy last week and went to a pizzeria with a forno a legna. My Italian is not the best but I spoke a little with the guys making the pizza, and, with a some begging, managed to talk them out of a pizza maker's hat!

More pictures here from Casetta di Campagna....

Dave, I just saw the pics you posted on anothers thread of your thanksgiving day turkey in the wfo and the bread you baked in the wfo as well. Really outstanding cooking you're doing. The food looks fantastic. You and your wife are putting the oven to good use. It's nice to finally start getting all the benefits and use now that's all done.
    -Cheers, Dino

    Hi All,
I have gotten a few questions lately about where I sourced my materials. . .

    Online:
    fireblanket-fornobravo
    vermiculite-w_w.mcmaster.com

    Locally in Northern VA:
    heat stop 50 firebrick mortar - w_w.pvbrick.com
    fireclay/lime/masons sand/ white portland (stucco) - w_w.lcsmithbrick.com
    firebricks/flue liner/steel lintel - w_w.glenn-ghery.com
    roof tile - w_w.roofcenter.com

Dave, you have done a beautiful job with your oven, outdoor kitchen and the pond. I really love the uplights along your paths.
Done huh? lol you will find something else to add I'm sure.
I am almost done with the oven, but will then start on the outdoor kitchen that just needs to be added now.

    Cheers,
    Tom

    Some Finishing touches

There are a few small things left to do but we are pretty close to using the word "Done".

I installed some hooks for the pizza Tools (left side) and the oven tools (right side). I really like this set-up. The tools do not contact the side of the oven and are easy to remove and replace. I can have my bubble popper in a flash!!

I built a stone wall behind the pond to accent the plants, protect the water from run-off, and to get rid of the rocks that I excavated in the build. I was pretty sloppy with the mortar in hind sight but from a distance it looks great. And of course, even a wall needs a keystone.

I finished installing the low voltage lights but we needed to supplement with oil lamps. The counters are working great and my wife is having a blast making all types of Italian Pizza.

Thanks Tom and Nic, I'll then try the local masonry supply house and see what they have.

I wouldn't use it. Get some good stuff, it won't cost any or much more.
