  • High Heat adhesive?

Does anyone know of a high heat adhesive that I could use to construct my door? It will be made out of a jigsaw puzzle of insulating firebrick.

Pure silicone is good to around 500 degrees. Things like J-B weld maybe?

      Tom,

About what temperature are you at when you lock up your oven for a overnight slow cook?

      Less than 500 F?

Way down there around 250 max to start, but I put the door on after the last pizza is done, above 800 degrees.

You can try it, but I think that an adhesive solution may be hard to achieve. There is a lot of expansion/contraction involved. I would try for some sort of mechanical solution.
