  • tiles for the oven floor?

As a tiler,i have accsess to many types of tile.i was wondering if anyone has used tiles ontop of their oven floor.i was thinking of using a glazed ceramic tile and using refractory cement to glue them down and for the groutlines.since they are fired in furnaces at 1300 celcius anyway they should be able to stand up to the heat.
    any thoughts?

No. No. No. It won't work. The tiles will crack and spall inside the oven. There's no reason to do this anyway. The porosity of the firebrick floor is an important contributing factor to pizza and hearth bread success.
