  • Need help with HF saw

Hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer and the beautiful evenings that go with it.

I went out today to try my hand at tapering a brick for my hemispherical inner arch and found what I had suspected all along: after hundreds of cuts in putting my patio pavers in, my HF saw is out of alignment. Not only is the bottom of the blade tilting in toward the post, the path of the blade gets wider to the right as I push a brick in towards the saw.

I pulled out the allen adjusting screw on the horizontal shaft and tapped the motor assembly in with a rubber mallet, but after tightening there is still a ton of play in the shaft. I can manually push and hold the motor (and blade) back into vertical, but it won't stay there when I let go.

Humbly asking for any advice in getting my saw back in alignment.

    Hey John!
Here is a link to JCG31's info on the HF10. Let us know how it turns out.

      Chris,

Thanks a bunch! I'm on it. I had attempted a FB site search (and Google) using words like Harbor Freight, HF, alignment, etc, to no avail. After seeing jcg31's post I searched using the words blade + alignment, and voila!
