guillotine-type Block cutter

Has anyone used a guillotine-type block shear (hydraulic or manual) to cut their firebrick?

It seems everyone uses some type of saw (wet or dry).

I am thinking of scoring/then splitting.

There is a post on here somewhere about it, it works ok.
