The book will show "free" when its free, just return the book and get it tomorrow, Monday.

Yeah, I worked out the time difference problem.
But who looks that closely when following a link, it could have been Amazon.anywhere. It's my first digital purchase of eBook from Amazon and was expecting a comfirmation page with discount entries etc. after the payment type selection, like you get when buying real books. That one went through before I was expecting it to.

They have sites and trade from:
Austria, France, Japan, Unites States of America, Canada, Germany,
Spain, China, Italy and the United Kingdom!

Return the book, get a refund and stop whinging.

I was going to leave it, afterall it was only a few dollars.
But your wonderfully helpful attitude in the matter leads me to
change my mind. I'll return it as you suggest.

And I'm sure he's glad. Who needs a customer like you? Your complaint should be with Amazon if you don't like the way they operate. It was stupid of you to click buy with the $2.99 price tag before first trying to verify with brickie if it was on sale yet or there was some promo code or discount applied at checkout.

Thanks for ruining brickie's generous offer for everyone else.

It is still listed on Amazon at this point in the day ( 4pm Monday Central time)....I clicked on the link in Brickie's post. It took me right to the page, listed as free if a Kindle owner and a member of Amazon Prime.....its all right there, $2.99 if not connected with both Kindle and Prime. Have a great day, ya'll!

It is always listed at $2.99, I was making it free to everyone (the world) for a whole day (its listed on the US site, so a whole US day)
When a book is listed for free the price is, wait for it............drum roll............$free

If you are a Prime member (Prime membership is valid to US customers only who pay $70 per year for membership) you can borrow the book for free any time.
The Prime members can only borrow 1 book at a time and it must be returned before they can borrow another one.

All my books have been enabled for Prime membership.

True, I dont know how Amazon works.
