Hi everyone!
I just completed my first pizza oven and couldn't be more excited to start using it. I built a half barrel oven using a foam form and just removed the form today.
I noticed that the inside mortar joints have gaps in them because I couldn't see the joints due to the form. I have a question - Is it very important to fill the gaps? There are no holes in the joints just not complete filling against the form. The oven has two layers of brick so it is very thick and sturdy and all outside joints are thick and solid as well, the only issue is the inside.
