Adhering red brick to metal

Folks;
I would appreciate any suggestions regarding how I can "glue" fasten red bricks to the inside of a half of a 45 gallon drum. I would like to make a barrel oven and would like to have the drum on the outside to protect the red brick oven from the elements.
Any help regarding this matter would be much appreciated.

I don't really think that's going to be possible. Even though you might find something that will bond the two, heat and expansion might have other ideas.

If I wanted to do this I'd design the barrel oven to fit underneath your drum. So your masonry would be structural and self supporting and the drum is really only a cover.

Un-possible. The barrel vault will support itself, and you need to insulate between the two.
