    In the three larger cities in Japan that we visited (Hiroshima, Kyoto, Fukioka), I saw exactly one pizzeria, and unfortunately didn't have time to poke my head inside, much less sample the offerings. This is a country with a small (sometimes 8-seat max) noodle house every 30 feet in each direction.

    Here is a video of one of Japan's early WFO pizza pioneers, Pizzaiolo Pasquale. Working his a$$ off, he single-handedly builds and bakes 12 pies in 9 minutes. Judging from the out-the-door lines in some of his other videos, he does this 8 hrs a day, every day.
