The holes help mix a little more quickly and thoroughly, but not so much that you'll miss them if you use a garden hoe. I didn't have either, so I spent the extra couple bucks for a mixing hoe.
Sounds good. I'm hoping to have an electric mixer anyway, but I might put a second person on hoe-n-barrow duty to get it all in the form as quickly as possible.
The trouble with that type of hoe operator, the other workers are not performing as they are observing the hoe operator to ensure that she is doing it properly.
I prefer a petrol mixer and am about to kick mine into action and concrete in my sun shade sail poles over the pool. Just looking after the little grand kids with summer fast approaching.
