    hearth form and vegetable oil?

    Should I coat the 2x6 I am using for the hearth form in vegetable oil to help prevent any bond between the wood and concrete? Is this step necessary?

      I paint on a bit of motor oil as a release agent
      Kindled with zeal and fired with passion.

        One quick tap with the hammer and your forms drop off. I didn't use a release agent.
