Re: Dave_Adelaide_Build
Hi cobblerdave,
I've been a little (or maybe a lot) slack lately and have been dragging my heels.
I still have to source a supplier for the materials and unsure where in SA I can get them all in one hit. I can get the whole lot shipped from Sydney but the freight/logistics may make that difficult.
If anyone has used a local supplier then let me know so I can get this baby moving.
Dave

Re: Dave_Adelaide_Build
Hi Dave and welcome aboard.
Great to find another Adelaidian on board.
I guess that you are from the north eastern suburbs with that reactive soil. Your foundation should ride out all that they can (and will) offer.
Keep the pics coming as the members like to see member's progress.
Cheers.

Hi Paul,Originally posted by Alter ego View PostDave,

That's some serious reo in the slab. I can see that this is build is not going to move anywhere!
Have fun.
I had the reo/mesh left over from house renovations so thought I'd put it to good use. The slab is 200mm with mesh top and bottom. The soil is reactive so I thought it was worthwhile doing.
Thanks Lee,Originally posted by Lburou View PostCongratulations Dave, its a great start. What style of oven are you building? What size?
I'm going to build a 42" Pompeii Oven using the FB plans as a guide.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge on this forum allowing so many people to benefit.
